Residential Pest Control for Portage Homes
Portage homeowners most often call about ants in the kitchen, spiders in the basement, mice in the attic, and wasps nesting under the eaves. Recurring Home Pro plans cover ants, spiders, crickets, earwigs, centipedes, millipedes, stink bugs, boxelder bugs, and Asian lady beetles, on a monthly or quarterly schedule.
Rodent control and termite monitoring can be added to a plan. The Home Pro Premium plan includes both, plus interior service on every visit. Plan details are on the Pest Pros pricing page.
Commercial Pest Control for Portage Businesses
Portage businesses need pest control that works around daily operations and meets regulatory standards. Commercial programs from Pest Pros follow integrated pest management: inspections, monitoring, targeted treatments, and exclusion work, adjusted to the building and the pests involved.
Programs are available for food service, warehousing and distribution centers, office buildings, and property management. Each program can include staff education on food storage, moisture control, and sealing entry points.
Termite, Mosquito, Bed Bug, and Wildlife Control in Portage
Termite Control in Portage
Eastern subterranean termites are the termite species Pest Pros treats in Michigan. They live in the soil and travel through mud tubes to reach wood, so damage often goes unnoticed until it is severe. Termite control options include Trelona bait stations, liquid soil treatments with Termidor HE, or a combination of both. Buying or selling a home? Real estate termite inspections are also available. Read how a Portage real estate inspection uncovered a major termite infestation.
Mosquito, Flea, and Tick Control in Portage
With lakes, creeks, and wooded lots across the city, Portage yards give mosquitoes plenty of breeding ground. Mosquito, flea, and tick control combines monthly barrier treatments with the In2Care system, which carries larvicide to nearby standing water and reduces mosquito populations over time.
Bed Bug Treatment in Portage
Bed bug treatment begins with an inspection and a prep plan that fits your household. Technicians use HEPA vacuuming and targeted applications to treat every life stage, and a follow-up visit within 28 to 31 days is included with the initial service.
Rodent, Bat, and Wildlife Control in Portage
Rodent control pairs snap traps inside with bait stations outside, followed by exclusion work to seal entry points. Bat control uses one-way doors that let bats leave without returning, installed from mid-August through April to protect young bats. For raccoons, squirrels, skunks, and other animals, see wildlife trapping and removal.

Portage Pest Control FAQs
How often does Pest Pros service homes in Portage?
Home Pro plans run on a monthly or quarterly schedule. The Home Pro Premium plan includes interior service on every visit, while other plans treat the exterior with interior service on request.
Do I need to leave my home during treatment?
For most general pest visits, no. Bed bug treatments ask people and pets to stay out of the home for 4 hours. Interior flea and tick treatments ask everyone to stay off treated areas for 2 hours or until the product dries.
What kind of termites are found in Portage, MI?
Eastern subterranean termites are the species Pest Pros treats in Michigan. They nest in the soil and reach homes through mud tubes. Formosan and drywood termites are not found in the area.
Are bat bugs common in Michigan?
Bat bugs show up where bats roost in attics or walls. They look like bed bugs and can move into living spaces once bats leave. Removing the bats with one-way doors and sealing entry points addresses the source.

Yes. Commercial programs follow integrated pest management for restaurants, warehouses, offices, manufacturing, and other facilities, with routine inspections, monitoring, and treatments built around the business.
Testimonials
“Jason came out to provide a termite estimate. Due to his confidence, knowledge, and professionalism I hired him on the spot. About an hour later he had us set up to begin exterminating our termites with monitoring stations. I went with Pest Pros not because they offered the lowest cost estimate, but because of Jason.”
